Board rules

These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on Career Assist. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.

  1. Guidelines

    1. Carefully READ AND UNDERSTAND our “guidelines”, “rules”, “term of use” and “privacy policy” before using this forum. #
    2. SEARCH the forum first to see if your question has already been addressed. #
    3. Be DESCRIPTIVE and use meaningful post titles. A summary of your post in the subject line is likely to get more attention. #
    4. Behave in a GIVE & TAKE manner; help others as often as or more than you ask for help. #
    5. Do not double post (post the same message twice in one thread) or cross post (place the same message across several forums). #
    6. Do not post new problems on someone else's thread and interrupt a topic of discussion. #
  2. Rules

    1. USER NAMES that are intimidating, offensive or suggest illegal activities will be blocked. #
    2. Maintain a PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS and RESPECTFUL behavior towards others at all times. Members have every right to disagree with their fellow community members and explain their perspective. However, no one is allowed to attack, degrade, insult, humiliate or otherwise belittle our members or the quality of this community. #
    3. Do not SPAM. Do not promote your product, service or business. #
    4. Post only in the APPROPRIATE FORUM. All the forums are categorized by topics. Please read the forum description before posting. If a topic is posted in a forum that is not appropriate, we have the right to move that post/topic to another better suited forum or delete it. #
    5. Do not post/share any COPYRIGHTED/ILLEGAL material. #
    6. Post in English ONLY. #
    7. Do not post any racial, ethnic, gender based insults or any other personal discriminatory material. #
    8. Do not act as “BACK SEAT MODERATORS”. If you come across an issue which contravenes these rules, please report to forum moderators using the “post report” feature. Do not respond to such topics yourself. #
    9. The administrators and moderators reserve the rights to edit or remove any post at any time. #
    10. The above RULES are also applicable to PRIVATE MESSAGING. #
  3. Avatars

    1. Avatars should be no larger than 120x120 pixels and should not exceed 20KiB (20480 bytes) in size.  #
    2. Avatars must not attempt to portray avatars of administrators and moderators. #
    3. Avatars must be in good taste. This means no vulgar or violent images, pornography, or profanity. #
    4. Users abusing these rules will have their avatar removed, privileges revoked and/or account suspended. #
